Retro games are old, fragile and often irreplaceable. A few minutes of careful packing keeps buyers happy and keeps your payout moving.

ship to the address on the order

  • Use a tracked service. Any major carrier is fine as long as the package has tracking. Your payout is released only after tracking is added.
  • Ship only to the address on the order. Don't accept requests to send it somewhere else — it voids protection for both of you.
  • Orders of $750 or more need signature confirmation. Consider adding carrier insurance for anything valuable.
  • Shipping price is yours to set on each listing, and you receive it in full — no fee is taken from shipping. Price it to cover your label and packing materials.

How to pack it

Loose cartridges
Slip the cart into a small plastic bag, wrap it in bubble wrap, and ship in a padded mailer. For larger carts (N64, SNES, NES) or several at once, a small box is safer.
Loose discs
Seat the disc firmly on the case hub, add a thin layer of bubble wrap around the case, and use a padded mailer or small box.
Complete in box
Always a box, never a mailer. Put cardboard boxes in a plastic protector or bag, wrap in bubble wrap, and fill the gaps so nothing moves. Keep the manual and inserts inside.
Sealed & graded
Bubble-wrap generously, box it with at least 2 inches of padding on every side, and consider double-boxing. Protect corners and seals from pressure.
Consoles
Remove any game or disc. Wrap the console in bubble wrap, pack cables and controllers separately, and box it with 2+ inches of padding on all sides. Use the original box inside a shipping box if you have it.
Controllers & accessories
Coil and tie cables, protect analog sticks and triggers, and box anything larger than a mailer comfortably holds.

The shake test

Close the package and shake it gently. If anything moves or rattles, add more padding. Loose items and empty space are the most common cause of damage claims.

If something goes wrong

  • Can't ship in time? Message the buyer right away. Repeated late shipments affect your account standing.
  • Item damaged or lost in transit? The buyer can open a claim. Good packing, tracking and — for valuable items — carrier insurance are what protect you.
  • Sold something you no longer have? Contact the buyer and our support team so the order can be cancelled and refunded.
